Halloween falls on a Saturday this year for the first time since 2020. Terror Rose, our Halloween party and costume contest, is back at Tara Rose on Saturday, October 31, at 384 3rd Ave in Murray Hill. Happy hour prices are on from open until close, and the winners are announced at 9pm. We are also a check in venue for the Downtown Halloween NYC Bar Fest.
Halloween Costume Party in NYC: How the Contest Works
Sign ups for the costume contest are on Resy. Reserve your place in Terror Rose and come in costume. Our guests and staff judge on originality and creativity, so a cardboard box and a clever idea stands level with a professional rental.
First place wins a $100 Tara Rose gift card. Second place wins a free round of drinks for their whole table, so it pays to enter as a group.
Halloween Bottomless Brunch in Murray Hill
The day starts with bottomless brunch from 10am to 4pm, at $29.95 per person for 90 minutes with the whole table taking part. Costumes are welcome from the first round. Brunch tables for October 31 are on Resy, and the full menu is on our brunch page.
Halloween Drink Specials in Murray Hill
Happy hour pricing is on all day and all night on October 31: a $9 Aperol Spritz, a $10 Kick Ass Mule, an $11 Paloma and $8 select drafts from open to close, with 2 for $24 on shareables. Our new fall cocktails will be on the bar too.
Halloween Events in NYC on October 31
The Downtown Halloween NYC Bar Fest, hosted by Brianna Chickenfry, takes place from 12pm to 8pm across more than 30 bars from the Lower East Side to Murray Hill. Tickets are sold through downtownbarfest.com, and one wristband covers every participating bar. The crawl is 21 and over with photo ID.
Further downtown, the 53rd Village Halloween Parade starts at 7pm on Sixth Avenue, heading north from Canal Street to 15th Street.
