Brunch Now Runs All Day, Every Day at Tara Rose in Murray Hill

a plate of pancakes with fruit and sauces

Brunch at Tara Rose used to mean Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm, and nothing else. That changed this month. The same brunch menu now runs 11am to 4pm, every day of the week, and bottomless brunch still turns up right on schedule every Saturday and Sunday morning.

Murray Hill has never been short on weekend brunch. A kitchen willing to run the same menu on a Wednesday is the part that has been missing, and it is why brunch here now stretches from late morning into the middle of the afternoon, seven days a week, not just two of them.

What Changed

Bottomless brunch has not moved. It is still the $29.95 per person deal, 90 minutes of unlimited drinks, Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm, with the whole table ordering in.

The weekday brunch is what is new. Monday through Friday, 11am to 4pm, the full a la carte menu is on, no reservation needed, no fine print. If you work near Grand Central or Kips Bay, or you would just rather have brunch at 2pm than fight a 10am table, that is five more days a week the kitchen is doing it.

The Brunch Menu, Served Daily

Whichever day you come in, weekday or weekend, this is what is on the menu:

  • The Lox, toasted sourdough, poached eggs, smoked salmon, dill cream cheese, pickled red onions, hollandaise, $22
  •  Steak & Eggs, 8oz flatiron steak, fried eggs, au poivre sauce, smashed home fries, $27
  • Shakshuka, onions, peppers, baked eggs, chorizo, feta, sourdough, $23
  • The California Omelette, bacon, avocado, tomato, spinach, goat cheese, $21
  • Mushroom Florentine, toasted sourdough, two poached eggs, cream of spinach, $21
  • 3rd Ave Breakfast, two eggs any style, bacon, sausage, hash browns, sourdough toast, $20
  •  Chicken & Waffles, chipotle maple syrup, mixed berries, $20
  • The Cure, fried egg, apple bacon, cheddar, hash brown, sriracha aioli, potato bun, $20
  •  Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, blueberries, whipped ricotta, maple syrup, $20
  •  Bruschetta, diced tomato, burrata, red onion, basil, balsamic reduction, $20
  • Breakfast Tacos, eggs, chorizo, peppers, pico de gallo, chipotle crema, $20
  • Avocado Toast, roasted beet, pomegranate molasses, feta, add egg +5, $19
  •  Granola Bowl, low fat yogurt, mixed berries, banana, toasted coconut, $18

Sides run separately for anyone building their own plate: avocado, bacon, turkey bacon, egg any style, hash browns, home fries, smashed home fries, fresh fruit.

Bottomless Brunch, Weekends Only

Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. $29.95 per person with any brunch entrée. 90 minutes of unlimited mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary, or Modelo on draft, or Aperol Spritz. Going alcohol free, the non-Aperol spritz or spicy paloma both work.

The weekend tables go fast, so booking ahead through Resy is worth doing if bottomless is the plan. If you want the full rundown on that side of things, the drink list and all, we covered it already in bottomless brunch in Murray Hill [link to: https://www.tararosenyc.com/news-item/tara-rose-nycs-best-bottomless-brunch-a-murray-hill-favorite/]. Weekday brunch is the same kitchen, just without the drinks package attached.

Why It Matters

Tara Rose has spent the past year building toward one idea: a bar that works for the whole day, not just the hours after 6pm. Coffee in the morning. Brunch that used to be a weekend-only thing. Dinner, happy hour, and Think Retro once it gets late. A brunch menu that only showed up two mornings a week never quite fit into that. A daily one does, and it means the Murray Hill office crowd, and anyone else in the neighborhood on a Tuesday who wants brunch instead of a sandwich at their desk, gets the same food a Saturday morning does.
